2009 Senior Nationals, San Diego, CA - April 2009
Russ Epperson, Rodney Roberts, Terrie Norman, and Jolie Feng competed at the 2009 National Masters and Kata Championships. This was the first Nationals in 15 years that Sensei Kim could not attend. Russ and Rodney fought in Masters, Jolie and Terrie competed in the Women's Katame and Ju No Katas.



Friday, April 17 -
After Masters weigh-ins, the boys end their fast and wolf down some lunch before running back to the venue to watch the kata competition.




Jolie and Terrie win gold in Women's Katame No Kata, despite Terrie's broken elbow from the State Championships. (No more nage no kata!) Jolie's family was on vacation in San Diego and came to watch them compete.




Saturday, April 18

 

Rodney won a gold medal in Men's Masters 45-49, and Russ won a hard-fought bronze medal in the Men's Masters 50-54.
